Calvin Ayre Interview

Whilst I realllllly hate the angle that this was filmed at (couldn’t possibly be less flattering, who looks good in profile from below after a days travelling and an iGaming party the night before to boot).

However as I’ve been really lazy when it comes to updating this blog lately and this is a nice piece of video content I thought I’d slap it up. So it’s basically me waffling on for a few minutes about Baidu and the Asian markets.

Mike Speaking in Amsterdam

I will be speaking at the iGaming Super Show in Amsterdam on Wednesday 12th June at 10am. Yandex and Snippets

This isn’t in anyway ground breaking news, but it is something that is very different over in Yandex and as such I figured would make an interesting topic for a small post. Baidu and .CN domains

This is a very short post.

Right I’m positing on this because it is an infuriatingly common misconception, getting a .cn domain is not going to hurt you, but it certainly isn’t worth the effort, you’re much better off putting effort elsewhere.

iPhone App Optimisation in Bullets

Right, iPhone App optimisation is pretty simple, think of it mostly like spamming Google with KW stuffing way back when. The one thing that makes it a little more difficult to game is that User input is hugely important as are sheer download numbers. But, the key points are as follows.

Naver SEO in Bullets

Unlike my other in bullets posts this is actually going to require that you really know how Naver works, the layout and functionality change the ball game a lot here and I’m going to write a small introduction to Naver before getting into the comparative bullets a little further down. After all to understand how to SEO this goliath of the Asian search market you need to understand how the thing works. I guess the easiest way to think of it is Google’s Universal Search on steroids; meets a social network meets well referenced uni paper and a lot of manual moderation thrown in.
